Trizzak's
first encounter with turntables and records
all started at a young age of seven when he
would move old school records back and fourth
to the make the record go fast or slow on
the Aki belt drive turntables. At around grade
five he would end up bringing his cds to b-day
parties and play music. Instead of partying
he would be the one mixing the cds. Eventually
in grade 11 a friend introduced direct-drive
turntables where he showed him how to scratch
and mix the records and from there as they
say the rest is history!
The start of his DJing career began in grade
12 where he DJed for his school dance mixing
cds with his disc man and using a five disc
changer and mixer fading the songs, but something
was missing. He needed a DJ name. His sister
came up with "DJ Trizzak" which
actually stands for "Track.” It
was meant as a joke but he was serious with
the name so “Trizzak” stuck. Then
a short while later he decided to get his
first pair of turntables, Stanton Str8-80's
which he still has today! He practiced everyday
to fine tune his skills. Then graduation came
and he got to showcase his new found talent
at his grad party. At age 18 he moved onto
gigs DJ'n at house parties, halls and also
school dances. He even got to DJ on MTV Canada's
show "Select" and then at the Sport
Compact Nights Car Show 2003 and 2004. Eventually
moving on to clubs at Blox, Sonar spinning
alongside DJ Rexx, the Media Club and finally
his first big break at the #1 club and hip
hop night at Atlantis in 2003 with over 1,000
people in attendance! Now at the age of 21
DJ Trizzak is a rising DJ star in the urban
scene having spun for Jin The Emcee, Kardinal
Offishall, Cory Lee, Rick Threat, Kayle, Marytez,
Starting From Scratch, Hapa (LA, Rehab crew),
Quickie, Coke-E, Fresh Groove, OTI, DJ Ob-1
(Las Vegas), Beat DJs J-Swing & Flipout,
DJ Rexx, DJ Kidd and more upcoming talent!
You can catch DJ Trizzak rocking Epik Entertainment
